Has your company beeen trying to raise capital for the last year? How's it been going? Most of the investors I've spoken with called a mini-sabbatical earlier this year and have been riding it out. Call me an optimist, but I think the tide is turning.

Here is a great event for companies to market themselves (ie present their story) to a large group of potential investors - the Ivey Venture Forum (www.ivforum.ca). The event started last year and was a big success, and is growing this year. There will be speakers who have successfully raised capital, a panel of investors discussing what they look for in an invesmtent, and a number of firms presenting their story. To apply for your company to present its pitch, download the application form at the website.
